How can I get a voicemail service activated?

There are a number of options available.  The quickest and easiest is to use the e-mail form located on this web site.  Or you can fax an application in at 1.800.390.1828. The voicemail account including your new number will be activated within 48 hours by our customer service representative.  Be sure to leave your call back number or e-mail for faster response.

If you would like your monthly payments deducted from an U.S. bank account you will need to fax a copy of a voided check to My Voicemail Network at 1.800.390.1828.  It is important that we can read the bank name, address, routing and account numbers on the check.  Be sure to include your call back number.  A customer service representative will call you with your new voicemail number within 24 hours.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover or you can have your monthly rental deducted directly from your US bank account.  For automatic bank draft, you must provide us with a copy of a voided check for processing.  If your account is set up with an Automatic Recharge at the limit of $25.00 the system will automatically charge your account when you have accumulated $25.00 in usage charges.  The final option is a pre-pay account.  In this case, you will need to mail payments to: My Voicemail Network; 2188 San Diego Ave; Suite J; San Diego, CA 92110.  Each time a pre-paid account is accessed, the owner will hear their balance.  It is the responsibility of each pre-paid customer to closely monitor his or her account, if the account runs out of funds at any time, callers will hear an announcement that the mailbox is currently unavailable.  This announcement will continue until payment is received.

How often will my account be drafted?

Each account is drafted ONCE for the sum of the monthly rental and usage on the anniversary date of the activation of your service. All fees are non refundable.

EXAMPLE

If a person signs up on August 14th and had $17.34 in usage, then the credit card or bank account will be debited the calculated amount as shown below:

$14.99 (monthly fee from 9/14 - 10/13 including taxes)

$17.34 (usage including taxes from 8/14-9/13)

$32.33 = Total charge for that statement period.

Remember that initiating signup incurs an additional programming fee to cover administrative and phone number reserve fees.

How can I get a detailed billing statement that shows all of my monthly calls?

If you are web enabled you may view your statement via the web at any time or at the beginning of each month a broadcast message from customer service will be placed in your mailbox.  It will notify you of charges from last month are now available at option 9 on the Main menu.   You may then go to option 9 at any time after you have heard the message to get information regarding your charges.  There are 2 choices under option 9.  If you select the first option, you will hear your total charges for the previous month.  This total includes your rental charge, usage and sales tax in a single total.  The second choice you have will provide you with a hard copy of your statement.  This is actually a two-step process.  First, you select option 2.  You will hear confirmation that your request was received and that the report will appear in your message center within 30 minutes.  The system will create the report and place it in your message center as a fax message.   Any time after the 30 minutes have elapsed, when you listen to your messages, a fax mail message from voicemail customer service will be announced.  To take delivery of the fax, simply enter the area code and fax number of the fax machine for delivery.  The system will dial that fax number and deliver the print out to you.

How does Conference Calling work?

Conference calling is listed as option 8 on the voicemail main menu.   You can either join or initiate a call there.  If you are planning to host a conference call you will need to notify everyone of the date, time and conference security code that you have selected.  Participants with their own voicemail will go to option 8 and then select number 1 to join a call in progress.  If you have invited guests who do not have voicemail, they can also participate in your call.  You will need to provide them with either a long distance or a toll free number that will allow them to join your call.

How can I get a message to someone if I don't know his or her voicemail number?

You are given three options for message delivery.  You can enter the person’s 10-digit voicemail number,  a distribution list number, OR the first four letters of the mailbox holders’ last name.

If the person’s last name contains a Q or Z or is less than 4 letters in length, press 0 (zero) in place of these letters.  Provided the mailbox holder has recorded their name at the time of voicemail set-up or through the Adjust Features option, you will hear a directory of names that match the 4-digits you entered.  When you hear the recording of the person you wish to send your message to, press the numbered key indicated and your message will be delivered into that person’s mailbox.

I get all of the corporate messages over email.  How can I stop getting these same messages over voicemail?

Select option 6 - Adjust Features - from the Main menu.  This option lets you work with the various message control options such as sorting, blocking, time zone selection and mailbox privacy.  Select Option 2 for message blocking.  Within message blocking you can press 1 to block a mailbox number, 2 to unblock a mailbox or 3 to block an external telephone number.  You are then given the option of entering the 10-digit mailbox number you would like to block or the first 4 letters of a mailbox holders last name if you do not know the mailbox number.   To block messages from Dallin Larsen for example, you would enter L-A-R-S (5277).  An audio directory will then play to guide you to the correct mailbox.  When you hear the name recording of the person’s mailbox you want to block, simply press the number given.  Next, you are asked what types of messages you want to block - broadcasts (1), responses to your broadcasts (2), broadcasting (3) and responding or ALL (4).  You will hear confirmation that messages have been blocked.  If you decide at a later date that you want to begin getting those messages again, you can use the unblock option.
